Roles and Responsibilities of the IPPG Board of Directors
Role of IPPG President | The President presides over Board and Member meetings, protects the bylaws of the Guild and supervises all voting/balloting. The President must be an active member of PPA. The President appoints other members to publish the Guild newsletter, maintain the Guild website, maintain the Fellowship Program and assigns heads of committees for specific duties. |
Role of IPPG First Vice President | The First Vice Presidents presides over Board and Member meetings in the absence of the President. S/He assists the President in their assigned responsibilities and performs all duties assigned by the President. |
Role of IPPG Second Vice President | The Second Vice President will assist the President and First Vice President in their assigned responsibilities and performs all duties assigned by the President. |
Role of IPPG Secretary | The Secretary creates and maintains the minutes of all IPPG Board meetings, assures all records required by state and local laws are maintained and is responsible for the filing of annual reports as required. The Secretary maintains a copy of the Guild bylaws and constitution and keeps current a roster of contact information on all Board members. |
Role of IPPG Treasurer | The Treasurer is responsible for the Guild's bank account and all monies collected by and paid from the Guild. The Treasurer is required to keep a written record of all financial transactions. The Treasurer will prepare and report to the Board regular (quarterly) financial statements and prepare annual financial statements to be reported to the membership prior to the February meeting each year. The Treasurer is responsible for filing Federal, State and local tax returns on a timely basis. |
Role of IPPG Membership Director | The Membership Director keeps a roll of all members and committee assignments. The Membership Director keeps track of the membership PPA status with their respective numbers. The Membership Director keeps track of IPPG membership status and timely payment of dues. S/He communicates to the membership renewal notices and coordinates with Board members on any new applications for Guild membership. |
Role of IPPG Director at Large | The Director at Large is appointed by the President, and approved by majority vote of the membership, to serve the Board by performing duties as assigned by the President. This position provides support to other Board members' roles as required and attends/participates in all Board meetings. |
